Cup and saucer
Cup, hard-paste porcelain, inset base within a flattened-off foot-rim, cylindrical sides, ear-shaped loop handle; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the front of the exterior body of the cup a landscape with a figure walking along a track towards a red-roofed gatehouse by the side of a river, further red-roofed buildings in the distance, around the rest of the exterior sides of the cup are two floral sprigs in puce, gilt lines around the foot-rim and exterior lip-rim, the handle picked out in gilt. Saucer, hard-paste porcelain, inset base within a flattened-off foot-rim, flaring sides; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the centre of the well a landscape with a collection of red-roofed buildings by the side of a river, a figure sits on a jetty in the foreground, three floral sprigs in puce around the sides of the well, a gilt edge to the rim. The rim chipped and repaired.
