Crying out for help. Andrea Tinch, right, cries out for help as she and Nancy Paulus sit atop their car in the Mad River early Friday morning

Wirephoto published in the Tribune newspaper in 1979. Purchased by David Hurn from MMG Photo Archives.

Full title: CRYING OUT FOR HELP - Andrea Tinch, right, cries out for help as she and Nancy Paulus sit atop their car in the Mad River early Friday morning. Their car skidded off the roadway on the Ohio Rt. 4 and 444 interchange near Fairborn and plunged down a 65 foot embankment into the river. Rescue crews managed to get them out 45 minutes later even though hampered by near zero temperatures. The two Fairborn Ohio girls are being treated at Wright Patterson AFB Medical Centre.
