A threatening letter, dated 11 September 1843, to the Rev. W. L. Collins (Oxwich Parsonage, Gower) from a Rebecca rioter/supporter: 'Having seen your name in the Cambrian Newspaper so prominent in respect of the Gower Turnpike Gates I humbly be to call your attention to the fact that unless you alter your opinion on that subject you may expect a ''call'' (and that not a very religious one) from yours Faithfully ''Becca'' '.
