Plate, soft-paste 'trident' or 'soaprock' porcelain, with a red, earthy translucency; standing on a foot rim curving into flared spreading sides; painted with a wide border of large foliate scrolls issuing from shallow vases of flowers, between pink roses on a gilt bed of seaweed, and gilt anthemions, banded by gilt lines; in the centre a pink rose and forget-me-nots, on a gilt bed of seaweed.
