Early Medieval pottery dish
Base of a wide shallow dish with a marked central kick, and a slight and irregular footring. Fine, very soft, pink fabric coated with a deeper reddish or reddish-brown slip. Where the slip has eroded, the surface sparkles with minute white particles. Phocean Red Slipware formaly known as 'Ai ware' or 'Late Roman C'. Form 3E
