Seal impression: Durham Episcopal
The bishop standing on a diminutive corbel, in pontificals; his early mitre takes the form of a low round cap without horns, his chasuble is broad and long at the back and bears an ophrey; usual posture, with two fingers of his right hand extended in blessing. The ascription : DEI GRACIA, appears for the first time in the ;legend on a Durham episcopal seal.
