Early Medieval glass bead
Fragment of a thin-walled cylindrical glass bead broken longitudinally. Fragment consists of approximately 1/4 of the original bead. Pale blue semi-opaque glass with decoration on outer surface consisting of thin, incised transverse bands. The bands were once filled with contrasting coloured glass. Faint remnants of yellow glass are observed . A perforation runs the length of the bead through the centre.
