Placard
Trans Aid Cymru (Trans Aid Cymru was set up in June 2020, and was originally called South Wales Trans Nonbinary Mutual Aid (or SWTN Mutual Aid). It is a mutual aid group for trans, non-binary and intersex people in Wales.)
Placard 'My cat got an orchi B4 me'. Made by Shash Appan (using a photograph of her sibling in law's cat) at a Trans Aid Cymru meetup held in Dyddiau Du (situated in the Capitol Centre, Queen Street, Cardiff) and then carried by members of Trans Aid Cymru at the first Pride in the Port, Newport, Saturday 3 September 2022.
Shash stated that "It's almost impossible to access orchiectomy, but our pets can get them on demand". She wanted to use humour to highlight this fact and remind people how much further trans healthcare needs to go in the UK.
