Schlick, Benjamin ((1796-1872), Danish designer and amateur archaeologist)
Pompeian Vase, silver cup-shaped vase with detachable gilded inner lining, two lug handles each with loop and scroll below, body applied with gilded berried ivy branches, set on a moulded circular foot with gilt, encircled by a beaded band. Accompanied by original fitted box with blue velvet lining and stamped with the name of the Liverpool retailer.
