Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate, soft-paste porcelain, with a buff tinged white translucency; standing on a tapered foot rim curving into curved spreading sides; lobed lip moulded with c-scrolls and ribbon-tied flowers and foliage, groove moulded cavetto; painted in the centre with an orange and gilt rosette medallion, radiating six cartouches of stylised orange flowers and green foliage, between narrower segments of a dot and trellis pattern in alternating orange and pink; six sprigs around the edge; gilt band to lip (trace left)
