Commelin, Michel Gabriel (working 1769 - 1802)
Plate, soft-paste porcelain, circular shape with tapering foot-rim, cushion-moulded sides and spreading rim, a shaped edge to the rim; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the centre of the well a spray of flowers enclosed by a gilt circle and catenarys in puce, to the rim two bleu-celeste borders with undulating gilt edges and between them puce catenarys and hanging ribbon-tied bunches of roses alternating with blue and puce vases of flowers and growing cornflowers.
