Dish of soft-paste porcelain with moderate translucency and 'moons' (spots of lighter translucency); speckled white glaze; standing on a tapering ground foot rim, with curved fluted sides and scalloped rim; painted inside in Kakiemon style in red, green, yellow and blue enamels and gold, with two exotic birds (peacocks, one in flight), three 'banded hedges' from which grow two flowering prunus plants, and a flowering prunus on the left; the rim lined in chocolate brown; three stilt marks under the base.
