S.S. FEDERAL MARINER (2895gt ). ‘Revised’ type vessel built 1945 as EVANGELINE PARK by Foundation Maritime Ltd., Picton, Nova Scotia, for Park Steamship Co., Montreal, managed by Interprovincial Steamship Co. 1946 – Ownership transferred to Federal Commerce & Navigation Co., Montreal. She was renamed FEDERAL MARINER in 1947. 1950 – Sold to Transmaritima Comercial, Rio de Janeiro and renamed SANTA MONICA. 1954 – Sold to Navegaceo Mercantil, Rio de Janeiro and renamed NAVEM MONICA. She was listed as “erased from register” in the 1972 edition of Lloyd’s.
