M.V. ATHELCROWN, negative
Starboard bow view of M.V. ATHELCROWN entering Cardiff Docks.
Built 1949 by Cammell Laird & Co Ltd , Birkenhead, for Athel Line Ltd., Liverpool, and used for the transportation of molasses. On her maiden voyage in July 1949, her first cargo was over 3 million gallons of drinking water brought from Durban to Buffalo Harbour, East London, in South Africa. She was broken up in Spain in 1971.
