Roman copper alloy penannular brooch
D-sectioned shank with incised transverse lines decorating the front face. The terminals are moulded to suggest zoomorphic heads, though highly stylized. The pin is oval-sectioned with the end flattened and decorated with incised vertical and horizontal lines and nicks where is wraps around the shank to form a hinge. Fowler (1960) Type E1. Condition: complete.
