Medieval ceramic floor tile

Slip-on impression. Fragment of the centre tile from a 9-tile or larger design (made up of nos. 310-315). Tile design comprises a crowned monogram ihc within double circle; quarter quatrefoils in each corner. BM Design 1418 (Great Malvern Priory).
The larger 9-tile or larger design consists of a grille of reserved quatrefoils within a border of crowned Ms, with the arms of England at the corners; the designs between the quatrefoils in the centre vary (nos. 312-15).
