Jug, pearl-glazed earthenware, ovoid body with cyma reversa moulding at shoulder, cylindrical neck with narrow pouring lip. C-shaped handle, slightly scrolling at bottom. Light brown enamelled rim. Body transfer-printed in underglaze blue, on the front a rural scene of two lovers under a tree, with a dog and oxen either side, a bridge to the right, a village in the background. Either side of handle, two prints of bouquets of flowers. On the neck swags and festoons, against a diaper pattern background. Further diaper pattern, with quatrefoils as inside rim.
