Headscarf
Red shawl worn by Susanna Berrington Gruffydd Richards of Ty'r Eglwys, Llanofer. She was a harpist to Lady Llanofer [Llanover], after her father Thomas Gruffydd.
Bright red triangular shawl with fringes along its two shorter sides. Long diagonal side is cut on the bias and is unfinished. Made from 2/2 twill-woven wool. Fringe is 2-ply, Z-spun (each strand consists of eight S-spun singles yarns). The wool has been dyed after it was woven.
