Cup, cabinet
Cabinet cup of soft-paste porcelain with white translucency. Standing on three applied lion's-paw feet, with a flat bottom, straight tapering sides and a curved everted rim; a scroll handle with thumb spur, closed above the rim, centred by a patera and terminating in a mask head. On each side a reserved panel with an octagonal gilt border on a gilt marbled (cailloute) ground, one painted with a goldfinch among flowers, the other with two blue tits on a branch. The feet, top and bottom edges, mask and most of the handle also gilt.
