Llay Main Colliery, photograph
Llay main colliery, the new boiler installation makes it possible to burn slurry and other low grade fuels. A grab lifts the slurry from a railway wagon and feeds it into the Martin Stoker shown in this picture. The slurry is automatically agitated as it is burned.
