Dish or charger of tin-glazd buff earthenware, standing on a tapered foot rim, cushion-moulded spreading sides, creating a deep central well and a broad, flaring rim; the whole covered with a white tin-glaze and decorated in underglaze blue with, in the centre, a heron-style bird, amongst chinoiserie style foliage and insects within a chain-linked circular band; the rim with triangular motifs infilled with vertical banding, interspersed with simple floral and foliate motifs.
