Small jug, creamware, baluster shape with spreading turned foot, 'sparrow-beak' lip, simple scroll handle with a pinched lower terminal; transfer-printed in black with the 'Backgammon' print, signed 'Rothwell' and depicting a lady and two gentlemen seated at a table in a garden playing backgammon.
