19th century. Fine 2 ply woollen yarn. Reverse twill weave in alternating colours forming birdseye pattern; borders of plain red broad stripe at either side which continues weave pattern. Ends rolled and hemmed, selvage at sides. Central seam. Colours: rust red (natural dye) weft and natural undyed yarn warp; red warp and weft in borders. Bands of different dye batches show in weft threads. 198 x 188 cm
