Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate of soft-paste porcelain with creamy translucency; standing on a tapering foot rim, with cushion-moulded and curved spreading sides; lobed lip, with six large and six small lobes alternating; the rim decorated with an elaborate gilt border of scrolls, anthemions, bell flowers, etc.; in the well an enamelled vignette view of the Free School, Cowbridge.
