Quarries, general regulations, inspection reports

Her Majesty's Stationery Office

An inspection booklet which was used in quarries in accordance with sections 4(3), 4(4), 4(5), and the special rule relating to bridges, of the ‘Quarries General Regulations, 1938’. This booklet was used when inspecting ‘Upper Garret Department, Dinorwic Quarries, Llanberis’. Each entry notes under which section of the Regulations the machinery is inspected e.g. 4(b), reports the result of the inspection e.g. ‘found in safe working order’, the time the inspection was started, time the inspection was finished, the name of the person inspecting, and the date. This inspection booklet was kept by Mr O.R.Thomas, who worked at Dinorwig Quarry, and records inspections made between 19 January 1955 and 9 November 1956.
