Seal impression: Royal
Reverse. The king on horse-back to sinister, in hauberk, continuous coif and chausses of chain-mail, represented (on original impressions) by rings; conical helmet with nasal; an extended right arm holds a sword inclined towards the king’s head and penetrating the legend, his left hand grasps an oval shield which is secured by a strap (or torque) passing around the king’s neck and fastened by a ring into the inner surface of leather (or, less likely, to the reins); the horse’s head-gear is composed (on original impressions) of chain-work.
