Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Coffee cup, soft-paste porcelain with a fairly white translucency; standing on a straight sided foot rim, indented above, a curved base, straight sides flaring at lip; high closed c-scroll handle; painted in gilt with intertwined garlands of fruited vines around the body; inside centre of bowl, an eight pointed star with radiating stylised tulip-like flowers, inside sides of bowl, a row of growing wheat; gilt foot rim, handle and lip.
