Mug, deep cream-coloured earthenware with a yellowish tinge to the glaze, flattened-off foot-rim, cylindrical sides, plain high loop handle; transfer-printed in brown overglaze with to the front of the exterior body a haymaking scene showing in the foreground a male and a female figure carrying bundles of hay and agricultural implements and beyond a haystack, the print in-filled with red, purple, yellow and green enamels, a red line around the exterior lip-rim. The foot-rim and lip-rim chipped.
