Late Bronze Age pottery bowl
Bowl of hard, coarse fabric containing moderate density quartz inclusions up to 3mm across. Dark brown/black external surface and core, dark brown internal surface. The rim curves inwards and has a distinct internal bevel, a charateristic comparable with vessels from the Unit 4 Post Deverel-Rimbury assemblage at Brean Down, dated to between the 11th and 9th centuries BC (Woodward, 1990).
