Metropolitan Police charge sheet issued to Kate Williams Evans 4 March 1912 at Cannon Row Station to answer a charge of malicious damage. Kate guaranteed, on a payment of £2, to appear the following morning at Bow Street Court.
Kate Williams Evans, born in Montgomeryshire in 1866, was sentenced to two months hard labour for the above offence, having smashed a window in a government building in London. She served 54 days in Holloway Prison in March-April 1912, during which she went on hunger strike. She would later place this documet in an evnvelope marked "Very Precious".
