Sampler
Embroidered sampler dated 1810 made by Mary Jones. Worked in coloured silks on a fine wool ground. The design features Pool church at the top with a biblical verse underneath and a house at the bottom, trees and pot plants. There is also a zig-zag border. The stitches used are mostly cross stitch with some stem and satin. From Welshpool, Powys.
