Roman copper alloy T shaped brooch
Raised mouldings along the wings. The end covers, pieced to hold the axis bar, are now broken. Seven turns of the spring still survive in situ, though the pin itself is lost, and the chord passes through a decorated triangular-shaped lug or crest on the head. The head makes a noticeably sharp angle with the curve of the bow, the upper part of which is decorated with a panel of recessed triangular fields which once probably held enamel insets. Information from site report by G. Lloyd Morgan and J. Webster.
