Plate, very pale cream-coloured earthenware with a soft greenish tinge to the glaze, circular shape with narrow foot-rim, cushion-moulded sides and spreading rim; transfer-printed in black with to the centre of the well a stippled scene of the Chariot of Apollo showing a standing male figure in a chariot drawn by winged female figures, the scene enclosed by a circular zig-zag border, a slightly worn black enamel edge to the rim. A crack to one side of the rim.
