Seal impression: Royal
Reverse. The King, on horseback to sinister, wearing (for the first time on a royal seal) a breast-plate, his right hand inclines his chained sword into the legend. His shield: quarterly, FRANCE (Modern) and ENGLAND, the like arms reversed on the horse caparisons. His helmet bears a crest on a chapeau: a lion statant guardant. The inner border is cusped, whilst the field displays delicate foliage. Scroll-work precedes the legend.
