Seal impression: Monastic
Within a circular panel, two busts (for the founders - Tovi [standard-bearer of King Canute] and the later King Harold), their hair bound with a fillet. Above the busts, an elongated crown; below them, three stars and a crescent. In smaller oval recesses: above, a man and a dolphin; below, a (?) tiger; all this imagery from an antique gem. All set within a border bearing two shields, each supported by two lions passant guardant; dext. ENGLAND: sin. upon a cross engrailed, five crosses crosslet fitchy, WALTHAM ABBEY.
