ss SAMIDWAY (7820gt) : Built 1944 by New England Shipbuilding Corporation, Portland, Maine, with engine by Harrisburg Machinery Corp., Pennsylvania, for MoWT (managed by Alfred Holt & Co., London). 1947 – Sold to T & J Harrison & Co. Ltd., Liverpool, and renamed SCHOLAR. 1964 – Sold to Karavena Marine Enterprises SA, Greece, and renamed KOSTANIS YEMELOS. She was broken up at Mihara in 1969.
