A Welsh Folk Museum Answer Book, 1972, received from Madge Jones containing an essay on her uncle John Owen, (1856-1937)nTan y Fynwent, Dwyran, Anglsey who was a carpenter, musician and vegetarian. Answer Books were sent out by the Welsh Folk Museum to individuals across Wales as a way of collecting and documenting information on aspects of folk culture in their areas, including agriculture, crafts, food, customs and dialects. The responses were hand-written in the books. The Answer Books had a similar purpose to the earlier questionnaires sent out in 1937
