Vase, of pale grey earthenware, standing on a spreading foot, squat ovoid body, truncated and tapering inward almost horizontally at shoulder, collar neck, flaring slightly at mouth with everted lip rim; visible throwing rings to interior sides; the whole, with the remnants of a covering of pale butter-milk coloured slip, quite thick in places, the unglazed grey earthenware showing through in other more worn patches.
