Jug, pearlware with a bluish tinge to the glaze, rounded foot-rim, globular body, cylindrical neck, plain beak spout, plain loop handle; the middle of the exterior body decorated with a very broad band of marbled slip in shades of brown, black and pale blue in imitation of granite, around the neck a formal pattern border in blue, yellow, red and black enamels and the inscription "James Jones / 1799", brown bands around the foot-rim, shoulder, exterior lip-rim and spout, the spout and handle picked out in brown. The spout broken and repaired.
