Bathing costume
Navy blue knitted jersey bathing costume. The suit has short legs which extend approx 24cm from the crotch area. The neckline is quite high and forms a square shape on both sides the main body of the costume is gathered into this neck facing. It also has shoulder straps with gathered frills on each side. Made in two main sections with seams at the sides and between the legs, machine sewn with navy blue cotton thread. The costume is fastened by a cream, plastic button on the top of each shoulder, front side and a button hole on the reverse side. Blue and white striped fabric is used to decorate the hems, neckline and around the shoulder strap frills. It is cut on the bias and machine sewn to the costume along the edges using white cotton thread. Cream wool and elastic twill tape (0.6cm wide) sewn to the inside of the legs 4.5cm from the hem.
