Gelligroes Mill, photograph
Pendre, Sims (Newport College of Art)
Photograph captioned 'Gelligroes Mill, near Blackwood. It is said that this was the site during the 17th century of a fulling mill where woollen cloth was shrunk by the use of moisture and heat. It became, ultimately, a flour mill and afterwards it was used for grinding corn and the manufacture of animal feed in the form of pellets. It is a typical mill building with whitewashed stone works and a waterwheel nestling in its gable end.' Mounted on card. Made for the exhibition RECORDING WALES 3 in 1970/1971.
