Dessert plate, greyish, slightly grainy paste, everted rim with six wide and six small lobes, the centre decorated with the gilt monogram D under a polychrome Marquess's coronet within a broad circular cartouche of gilt and enamel beads, the rim bears five oval medallions of virtues, grisaille on a pale blue ground, together with a sixth medallion bearing the crest of a heron with a snake in its beak, all within a running border of blue and gilt floral sprays, with pink and green scrolling foliage.
