Nantgarw China Works (1813 - 1822)
Plate, soft-paste porcelain, clear white translucency, lustrous glaze with slight greyish green tinge; standing on a shallow foot, the rim moulded in six large and six small lobes; the surface with an unevenly applied turquoise ground ornamented with an oeil de perdrix pattern (reserves of gilt spots within a border of purple dots) reserved with a central circular panel within a plain gilt frame, painted with a bouquet of garden flowers, and with three large oval panels of flowers within elaborate foliate scroll cartouches in gilding, gilt rim line.
