Dish, dessert
Rectangular dessert dish, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain, greenish translucency and grey-green tinge to the glaze; standing on a shallow foot, long sides curved from the centre to the rounded and indented corners, two twig handles with foliate terminals; decorated in underglaze blue, red enamel and gold with an Imari pattern comprising a vase amid peonies and other oriental flowers within a red border reserved with stylised flowers in white and with four cartouches containing flowers, further stylised flowers and foliage to the rim; handles gilded, gilt line to rim.
