Roman samian bowl, decorated
(With adjoining sherds in 166). The lower zone is divided into two or more sub-zones. Basal zones with triple bordered festoons, as here, are common on both Forms 29 and 37 in the early- to mid-Flavian period. The tulip leaf pendant occurs on Form 29 from the Neuss fortress, stamped with one of Primus iii's later dies, and on Form 37 from Camelon.
