Built 1954 by Eriksbergs M.V., Gothenburg (with a 6-cylinder two-stroke oil engine by the shipbuilder), for Leif Hoegh A/S., Oslo. 1965 – Sold to “Bulet” State Economic Enterprise (DTP ”Balkantrans”), Varna, Bulgaria, and renamed HYALITE. 1968 – Transferred to the Bulgarian Tanker Fleet, Burgas, and renamed ERMA in 1971. On 23 June 1977, fire broke out in her engine room while she was docked at Varna with a cargo of 17,000 tons of oil. The entire poop area of the vessel was burnt out and the hulk laid up until it was towed to Aliaga, Turkey and broken up in August 1980. (hoeghautoliners.com)(morskivestnik.com/compass/news)
