Posset-pot
Posset-pot, pale buff coloured earthenware, standing on a straight-sided foot-rim, bulbous body, cylindrical neck, the sides ornamented with pushed out bosses in vertical rows, twin loop handles to either side of the body moulded in the form of scrolling spirals, to the front of the body a narrow curving spout lying against against the sides of the body rises up from the lower body to the neck; covered all over, apart from the base, with a slightly pink-tinged white tin-glaze, the glaze worn off in places around the lip-rim.
