Cup, thickly potted hard-paste porcelain, poor greenish translucency, standing on a shallow foot rim, tub-shaped body, ear-shaped loop handle with trefoil, lower terminal decorated in underglaze blue with Meissen style chinoiseries within typical cartouches of feathery Laub und Bandelwerk scrolls; a seated Chinaman between flowering plants on one side, a kneeling Chinaman with a pipe before a teatable on the other, large sprays of peonies and foliage between and around the handle, painted with foliage and a baluster, heavy blue rinceaux within the lip.
