Upper Palaeolithic flint backed blade
A mid-section fragment of a point with steep retouch along its length which forms a slight ‘shoulder’ halfway along its length. This ‘shoulder’ does not seem to have been intentional, it appears to have been formed during a failed attempt to remove it, for heavy trimming is evident around its edge.
