Pot-lid
Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and slightly rounded top; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'Bear, Lion and Cock' (although this title is not recorded on the lid), showing an indoor scene with a bear seated on a throne and wearing a crown, muzzle and chain, the end of which is held by a standig lion with a club, a cock perches on the back of the throne, the scene enclosed by a line and dot border overpainted with a yellow band. The rim of the lid chipped.
